DIY Monogram Wreath

1-1619
Instead of baking this week, which I wouldn’t have been able to do if I wanted to with our crazy schedules lately, my friend Lori and I had a craft afternoon and made our own monogram wreaths!

At the store:
Step 1: Choose wreath (I chose a twig wreath so that I had more room to be creative and because I like the look better than the floral variety)
Step 2: Choose your monogram (we went to Michael’s and there were lots of choices! Because the letter “m” is a wide letter, I went with a smaller monogram but Lori used an “e” and because that letter is narrower, she was able to choose a larger monogram and it looked great!)
Step 3: Choose your theme and accessories (I went with fall colors and flowers because I’ve been drawn to reds and oranges lately while Lori chose a blue and green theme and used peacock feathers instead of flowers! There are so many ways you could go with this- you can make a season-less design or resolve to make a new one for each season!)
Once you get home:
Step 4: Decorate your monogram (you want to do this first so that it has some time to dry. I decided on a solid color with stripes and Lori covered hers in glitter!)
Step 5: Make your bow (Lori made both of our bows… my Mom taught me a while ago but I wasn’t having much luck remembering!)
Step 6: Arrange your bow and monogram on the wreath. Then you can arrange how and where you want to place your additional accessories (I had to cut the stem and leaves off of my sunflower and then arrange the pieces separately to achieve the look I wanted. Then I arranged the smaller stems around my monogram)

This was a really fun project and it definitely left me planning my next one! Do you have a favorite craft? If you haven’t tried one this season or are looking for something new, give this a try and let me know how yours turns out! Follow me on Pinterest for more inspiration! Happy Friday everyone 🙂 Enjoy the weekend and thanks for stopping by!
