Freshly Picked Launch & Spring Giveaway!

If you’ve been following along for a while, say 3 years, then you already know about my love for Freshly Picked. Amelia has been wearing them since she was about 3 months old (remember this? For a trip down memory lane, see this and this, too! I didn’t know about them until after she was born, otherwise I would probably have also had crib moccs!) and she still has 2 pairs that fit her that I still put on her. They were the only shoes that stayed on her feet when she was a baby and I loved that they went with EVERY outfit, no matter how dressy or casual it was. ] Honestly, I didn’t even buy her sneakers until she started being able to really play at parks, etc. and she didn’t have the traction on the moccs to climb up the slides. Otherwise, Freshly Picked soft soled moccasins are my favorite!

Another reason I really love Freshly Picked moccasins is because of the heirloom quality. There’s no arguing that they’re adorable and the myriad options for colors and prints can make them a bit addicting, but they really do last. Amelia’s first few pairs were gender neutral (carribbean blue (similar), butterscotch, and gunmetal (platinum)) and so Joseph wore them all! I’ll save them in case we have any more babies but otherwise they’ll go in their memory boxes! We have multiple pairs in every size from 1-7 and I’m really excited to be collaborating with Freshly Picked to try their new sandals! They just launched 3 new colors today and though I chose Blush Laguna sandal for Amelia and Maritime Bixby for Joseph, I kind of wish I got her the rose gold! I also really LOVE the red (clearly I have a shoe weakness… make that clothing in general!)!

She looks so deep in thought here! One of her favorite things to do is to literally stop and smell the flowers. And my heart melts every time she does it. It gives me the feeling that maybe I am doing something right in this whole parenting thing. I don’t know whether this is right or not, but I really love indulging her whimsy… she’s wearing two tutus here (she wanted to wear 3 but it just wasn’t working!) and she loves wearing anything sparkly or girly (these Mocs sparkle in the light- they’re the hologram Mocs!) and I just can’t get enough of her little (big) personality!

In honor of the first day of spring this week, I’m really excited to be teaming up with Freshly Picked this week to GIVE AWAY a pair of shoes of your choice from their site! Like I said, their moccasins are quite possibly my favorite shoes ever but I’m really excited to be trying their sandals this time! They launched 3 new colors (cognac, cherry, and rose gold) today so it would be the perfect time to get a new pair of shoes for your little for spring and summer! I’m hosting the GIVEAWAY on INSTAGRAM so enter HERE! Subscribe to my mailing list for an extra entry (make sure to comment here and let me know! I only send out emails right now as a notification of a new post so I promise you won’t be overwhelmed with emails from me!)! Good luck, happy Monday, and happy almost first day of Spring!

Joe had a meeting Friday, a work dinner Friday night, and a meeting on Saturday so yesterday was really our only full day together this weekend. We were determined to do something fun, even though Amelia has been coming down with a cold, so we took them to run out some energy on the grounds of a local college. It’s really pretty and there’s lots of spring flowers blooming right now which Amelia loves! Of course, we stayed out a little too late, had a very late and quickly thrown together dinner (grilled cheese) and then Amelia started complaining of ear pain. Luckily my youngest sister was over so we took her to CHOP’s Urgent Care because I figured her cold went to her ears. Now she’s on Amoxicillin and Ofloxocin drops and feeling much better! However, after a rough night, poor Joseph woke up with her cold! Here’s to a day full of rest and tea with honey!

It was a pretty cool feeling being able to play “Ring Around the Rosie” and have them both actually participate. This growing up thing is so bittersweet but I really do love each age more than the last!
