See Kai Run Basics: Fall Edition

This is now our second experience with See Kai Run Basics shoes (see here for our summer sandals review) for Target and we love them just as much as we did the first time around! In case you missed my first post with them, See Kai Run was created by a Seattle mom in 2004 and focuses on promoting healthy foot development and style/design. Their basics line is an extension of this line with really cute shoes at more affordable prices!

Amelia is wearing the Morgan Sneakers in navy. The star print is so cute and it’s a really great transitional shoe! I love that they’re comfortable and that they work just as well with dresses as they do with leggings and she loves the pink accents! It’s rare that something makes it into her wardrobe that doesn’t have any pink in it, unless it’s a dress… she loves almost all dresses as long as they twirl when she spins.

How cute are they standing back to back here? I was so glad I caught this because I couldn’t get them to recreate it for the life of me for the rest of the time I had the camera  out and ready! You know, basically a typical photoshoot (read: day) with toddlers.

Joseph has on the Belmont Sneakers in gray and he’s borderline obsessed. He calls them his Gecko sneakers (anyone else’s kids watch PJ Masks?!) because the inside is green and almost always picks them over his Nikes (which he calls his Catboy shoes because they’re blue… haha! Things I always want to remember about this age… but I digress). The lightning bolt print is adorable and I actually like the hightop style way more than I thought I would! They go with everything!

They both love that their sneakers velcro so that they can both put them on and take them off as they please. We’re typically a barefoot in the house kind of family (no, I don’t make people take off their shoes when they come in, my kids just naturally rip off their shoes and socks when they walk in the door!) so it’s nice that they don’t need my help every time they want them on or off (which is a lot).

Also, these must be new because I literally just saw them as I was finishing up this post but they now have boots for girls (how cute are the subtle pink polkadots?!) and boots for boys (I love the pop of red, especially for the fall and heading into the holidays!)! I really love both of these options and am picturing the girls’ boots with knee high socks, a simple dress, and a chunky sweater for fall! I’d pair the boys’ boots with joggers and a slightly preppy sweater or rugby shirt for when it gets cooler. Ok, now I need these next!

Sometimes they like each other!

Thank you so much for coming here today and reading this post! I really appreciate it! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We were thinking about heading to the beach but we’re leaning toward spending the weekend at home and enjoying some down time. I always have such a hard time deciding between trying to visit somewhere or someone and staying at home. I feel like I want to do both and then when we decide to go somewhere I feel like the weekend is rushed and virtually disappears and when we stay home I feel like we’re missing out on time we could be doing something cool with the kids… anyone else think this way? It’s kind of awful! But really, I think its time we built the playhouse we gave the kids for Christmas last year that’s still in the box in the garage… and by “we” I mean Joe. Haha, sorry Joe!

Sincerely, Britt
