Monday mood 😴😎 I woke up at 3am last night to Amelia running into our room because she had a nightmare & I couldn’t go back to sleep because the sound of a helicopter circling made me so anxious. For the next 2 hours I could hear it. And I searched & Googled everything I could think of to see what was going on to make me less anxious & everything I found just made it worse. So I stopped & I focused on the birds singing & my own personal vow to do better. I know this seems so inadequate, & it is. But I also I know that it starts at home. It’s been a heavy weekend & I have to believe it will get better with awareness, education, & action. I’ve been sharing some already & will share more on my stories as I find resources, accounts, etc. I’ve found to be helpful. Please feel free to share here as well ❤️ #loveliveshere #lovewhatmatters

Going for walks always improves my mood (& putting on something other than leggings!) 😊 I need to make time to take them more often! I know it’s not exactly the birthday you expected, or maybe even wanted, but I hope you felt special & loved & wanted today. From birthday crowns to handmade wrapping paper to homemade cake, these guys poured their hearts into every little detail & were just so excited to celebrate YOU ❤️ We love you so much & are so grateful to have had you home so much more these past couple of months. A wagon, 2 kids, 3 baby dolls, Wolfie, a baby bag, & 2 water bottles 😂 It was pretty crowded in there to say the least! Today we played in the hose in the morning & I tried to get some work done in the afternoon but ended up not being very productive. It was a weird day- we found out the kids’ school that we loved so much is closing & that our summer vacation plans may not be happening (we were going to Disney but the new opening date threw a wrench in our plans)... or at least not the way we planned. I tried counting my blessings & focusing on gratitude instead but I still struggled to turn my mood around for a good part of the day. So, I’m counting my little wins here: I made dinner in the crockpot, I didn’t look at my phone for a good portion of the morning, I got my @Everlane order, & it was a beautiful day! I live for mornings like this... coffee, cuddles, & movie watching (this morning was Ratatouille 🐀🧀🥐)... weekends are the best ❤️ It seems like they’ve been extra wild lately; I think we’re all feeling the effects of quarantine a little more that summer seems so close now. I’m really enjoying all this time together, especially on the weekends, but I really miss hugs.
