Saturdays 💕✨☕️ Ours started out rough- Amelia fell when jumping off our couch this morning & I had a mini meltdown- she’s fine, just hit her hip but I was so nervous because I didn’t see it! I also went down a #covid19 rabbit hole for the 1st time in a while & that didn’t help 🙈 But after a long shower & talking to my mom like 5+ times 😂 I felt better. Our day ended on a high note with a family zoom, sitting down together for dinner, semi- homemade dessert, & lots of snuggles. Daily vibe over here. I’ve been having so much trouble getting myself into a routine so here’s to trying again tomorrow 🙈 Luckily we don’t have anywhere to be 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s hard to not feel overwhelmed, unmotivated, or anxious right now... maybe its finally time to start that gratitude journal I’ve been talking about! For accountability’s sake, here’s a few good things about today: 1. Cuddling my kids on the couch in the morning. 2. Watching Amelia Zoom with her class. 3. The sky was an incredible shade of blue today. 4. I got a shower. 5. Getting to Zoom with some of my mom friends in our neighborhood with a glass of wine tonight 💕 Your turn! Feeling a little discouraged tonight if I’m being honest here. We’re on day 17 of self quarantine & Amelia ended up with a fever tonight after they played outside jumping in puddles 😭 She has a stuffy nose & a (wet) cough that she’s had for a bit & her fever wasn’t even quite 101 but I’m just frustrated. And seriously, how?! Before I get overly dramatic, though, we really did have a good day other than this 💕 So, that’s where we’re at... Yesterday we said goodbye to our Scooch. I remember bringing him home (to my bedroom because my dad was allergic) 14 years ago as the tiniest kitten & he slept with me every night until Joe & I got married (actually, until I we brought home his brother & he took his spot 🤦🏻‍♀️) 💕 He’s moved with me twice, tolerated me bringing home a crazy dog & then having 2 kids, & was always up for a cuddle when I needed it. He really was the sweetest cat. I’ll miss you, buddy 😢I hope you’re up there with your brother catching up on the last 3 years of playing & missed cuddles & eating all the cat treats & tuna you could ever want. #catsofinstagram

I love the morning but I’ve never been one of those get up, get dressed, & go people. I much prefer to get up early, sip my coffee while it’s hot, listen to the birds, & read (or something equally as slow). Anyone else?
