Stay At Home Wish List + Sales

slip on sneakers, mask, cardigan, bra, sweater, leggings, tank, glasses (I’ve been wearing my blue light blocking glasses SO much lately!), pants, scarf, bikini top, bikini bottom, wine (this has come in handy for when we don’t want to go to the wine store with all this madness!)

With nowhere to go for at least the next month, there’s a fine line between buying items you can actually use and items to help you look forward to all this self quarantining ending… and that’s if you’re lucky enough to be in the position to continue to shop. Luckily, I had a couple of gift cards left over from Christmas so I did pick up a few things and honestly, none of them are really practical for right now but it does make me feel a little better having something to look forward to wearing. J.Crew has been having some really good sales and I really like to get some of the kids’ clothes there as they always have such fun colors and styles (I don’t think the quality is spectacular, though, so I’ll only buy pieces on a really good sale). Also, Everlane is having a 25% off their whole site sale that ends today. I would say if you were only able to take advantage of one sale, make it Everlane (no, I am not being paid to say this. Yes, I do make a small commission from sales purchased through my links). If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know that Everlane is one of my favorite brands and they never run sales like this (their day glove flat is the most comfortable flat I’ve ever worn… I even bonded with a lady in a hospital elevator over them… and it’s on sale for under $90 if you’ve been in the market for a good flat) so this is a must-see if you’re able to shop. I have one gift card to Lou & Grey left, too, but I can’t decide what to buy (this one is nice because I can only buy for myself… lots of times if I have gift cards I buy things for the kids or the house!)!

How are you holding up? I’ve been trying to get myself into a routine (SO hard for me!), practice gratitude (thinking I’m going to start a gratitude journal which I should have been doing for a while), and give myself lots of grace (because being stuck at home with a 5 year old and a 3 year old isn’t always sunshine and rainbows!). We had to put our cat of 14 years to sleep last week and it was really sad. We’re thankful, though, that Joe is still working (remotely) and that we’re all safe at home and are relatively healthy! I’d honestly like to be participating in a little more retail therapy, haha, but since the future is so uncertain I’ve been scaling back like probably everyone else! Anyway, I’ve been trying to stay active on Instagram as it makes me feel a little less alone and trying to stay away from the news as much as possible. How about you? Thanks so much for reading! I really appreciate it as this is helping to keep me somewhat sane and normal!
